for a holiday off the beaten track and far from the madding crowd;

you are hoping to relax and get away from it all;
or like walking in the mountains at your own pace;
or want a leisurely but rewarding holiday for your children;
then Les Terrasses de l’Atlas is the place for you!

The Berber guesthouse “Les Terrasses de l’Atlas” is situated in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains, 45 minutes to the north of Taroudant, one and a half hours from Agadir airport and half a day’s travelling from Marrakech.

With its breath-taking views over the lush green oasis of Mount Afensou and the impressive summits of the High Atlas Mountains rising to 3,500 metres at this point, “Les Terrasses de l’Atlas” offers you an exotic holiday beyond compare in rustic surroundings, in a way that is in tune with the Berber way of life, whilst still retaining the comfort sought by western visitors.

This traditional earth and stone dwelling offers an idyllic location for restful holidays in the sun, with opportunities for day trips from Agadir or Taroudant, and a perfect starting point for mountain activities, adapted to your needs and away from the crowds.

Please book in advance ! You can contact Luc by phone (+212 661 09 06 04) or by email (horscircuit@hotmail.com).

In the heart of the High Atlas

Luc and his Berber wife, Hafida, will welcome you with simplicity in a family atmosphere. The guesthouse is situated uphill from an underground spring, creating an all-year-round mountain stream, good for swimming and providing a relaxing background murmur. The house has original-style bedrooms and panoramic terraces built around interconnecting interior courtyards, enabling you to get away from it all very quickly. The food is innovative and typical of the region, tantalising your taste buds.

Your hosts will eat with you (if you so wish), as this is a real guesthouse providing a traditional table d’hôte menu, such as you rarely see in the guesthouses and Riads flourishing in Marrakesh and Taroudant.

“Les Terrasses de l’Atlas” guesthouse is appreciated by families with children, lone voyagers in search of something new and walkers of all levels alike. It offers a wide choice of activities for everyone and these should keep you happy and occupied over the course of a week.

The house is organised on a flexible basis with the owner attentive to your every need and full of ideas. With his charming wife, Hafida, you will be in very good hands. They aim to create a relaxed atmosphere and this guesthouse will never be overrun with crowds, as the emphasis is on quality, not quantity, in terms of interaction and provision.

Leave your watch at the bottom of your suitcase and switch off your phone. Forget your western ways and the stress of your job, and make the most of what we provide for children. In fact, why not come and see for yourself!

N.B. This isn’t a hotel where you can turn up at the last minute! In fact, Afensou isn’t the sort of place where you would wash up by chance … It’s essential to reserve in advance.
